Corazón de los Apus is a non-profit organization that works with children living in extreme poverty in Cusco, Peru. We try to give them a better future by providing education, food, and a safe and loving environment in which to play. But to make all this possible, we need the support of volunteers and donors.

Here are some of the areas we could use your help with. Most volunteers do all kinds of work at Corazón de los Apus and they like to vary their tasks. We like to give you the freedom to take initiative.

Personal talents
You are most welcome to share and teach an activity that you love, practice or know to our kids. Examples: yoga, ballet, theatre, art, music, dance, singing, sports etc. We are happy with all kinds of activities and input!

Outside the project, we often organize activities for the volunteers to get to know each other better and to show you our favorite spots in the city. We love to go out for dinner to eat the best local dishes, or salsa dancing in one of the night clubs of Cusco. When there are bigger groups of volunteers, we even go on trips outside the city like the relaxing thermal baths of Lares. We are not just an NGO, friendship is one of our core values and we want you to have an unforgettable time here.
